The Hubdoc app is one of my “go to” apps for my day to day work. It makes a bookkeeper’s life so much easier. You are probably familiar with Hubdoc. But are you familiar with all the features? There’s been a couple really good ones added recently. Watch the video below for a demonstration of a few of the newest features. I’ll also walk you through my steps and processes
This program has so many smart features. And it is faster than most programs. They have unbelievable support too. But the best part of this app is it is easy to use. You rarely have to go to a support article to figure out how to use it. It is intuitive.
Hubdoc: New feature add notes
The “add notes” feature is really helpful when you have a bookkeeping team. It’s so easy to notice when a document has a note added to it. I recently had to hire a bookkeeper a new bookkeeper to my staff. That notes feature is making the transition quick and effective. When she has a question or comment on a bill or receipt, she just adds a note.
Hubdoc: New feature merge document files
The document files populate based on what the actual bills or receipts look like or code in. Sometimes you get duplications or they read in such a way that it makes three or four and even five folders that have similar names. All for the same vendor. The merge document feature is a bit hidden. You have to navigate over to Accounts on the top right corner >Manual Accounts tab and then it’s so easy. You just select the little box to the left of the accounts that are similar and then click the button merge. Super fast , super simple.
Last piece of advice: Don’t forget to take advantage of the old features….
I love the auto sync feature and how you can just drop the transactions in the hubdoc or have them auto emailed directly into the program. When you do that, you can make the program do the work. Set it up and it will automatically enter the bills or the credit card receipts directly into QuickBooks for you. It even attaches a picture of the document. So easy. It is just a great way to work and have your paperless office.
